Can you really lose 10 pounds in 3 days? Here's the truth: it's very unlikely. You may be able to lose around 5 pounds in three days but, for most people, 10 lbs is really pushing it. Still, many people are going to give it a go, despite the low odds of success. If you fall into this category, please keep these tips in mind...
1. Most of the weight will be "water weight"... especially if you cut down on your carbohydrate intake.
2. You should not try to starve yourself by cutting calorie intake too much, mainly because you'll slow your metabolism and possible cause serious damage to your body.
3. No matter what anyone tells you, you're not going to lose 10 pounds just by taking a pill, using a "body wrap," or purchasing some kind of gimmicky exercise/fat loss gadget. You're also probably not going to lose 10 pounds by following one of those "3 day" diets that have become so popular.
If you want to lose weight quickly and in a healthy way, you'll need to eat a very strict diet based around lean protein and veggies, while also doing some form of effective exercise most days of the week. Here's a simple diet to lose 10 pounds fast (though not necessarily in only 3 days!):
Eat no processed foods whatsoever. Basically, if it was made by man, don't eat it. This includes anything made with flour (even the "whole grain" variety), refined sugars, or processed fats.
Avoid starchy carbs, including grain foods, potatoes, rice, etc.
Eat mainly lean proteins, fish (especially salmon and sardines), raw or lightly cooked vegetables (especially the green leafy kinds), nuts, and seeds.
Eat 2 or 3 pieces of fresh, raw fruit every day, but not bananas (due to their high glycemic index count).
Eat a couple servings of healthy fat each day, including virgin olive oil, coconut oil, natural nut and seed butters, avocado, fatty fish, etc.
Note: You should also try to do some form of high-intensity exercise every morning, especially if your goal is to lose 10 pounds in 3 days!
