Eating Tips for Fast, Healthy Weight Loss

Want to burn body fat and lose weight in a fast and healthy manner? Eating the right kinds of foods -- and avoiding the wrong kinds of a foods -- is a huge part of the equation.

Here are a few eating/diet tips to help you lose body fat as quickly and safely as possible:

-- Eat a variety of lean proteins. Protein should account for 30-40% of your daily calories.

-- Eat a variety of low-glycemic "good" carbohydrates. Carbs should account for 30-40% of your calorie intake.

-- Eat several servings of healthy fats each day. Fats should account for about 30% of your daily calories.

-- Try to get about .7 - 1.0 grams of protein per pound of lean body mass each day. This will support muscle repair and growth.

-- Base your diet on fresh and lightly cooked vegetables, lean meats, nuts and seeds, beans and legumes, raw fruit and healthy fats from olive oil, fish, nut/seed butters, avocado, etc.

-- Avoid all refined sugars and flours.

-- Limit your intake of "starchy" carbs, especially grains and potatoes.

-- Rotate your carb intake for maximum energy and fat loss.

-- When grocery shopping, stick to the "edges" of the store, where you'll find the fresh foods that must be refrigerated.
